Authors retain the copyright of their manuscripts, and all Open Access articles are distributed under the terms of the Attribution 4.0 International Creative of Commons deed (CC BY 4.0) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.

Authors of published articles in the JES are entitled to deposit their published articles in institutional and/or centrally organized repositories and can make this publicly available immediately upon acceptance and publication, provided that the journal is attributed as the original place of publication and that correct citation details are given.

The journal supports self-archiving. Authors may deposit pre-print, post-print, and the publisher’s final PDF in personal, institutional, or subject repositories without prior permission. Articles may be made publicly available immediately upon acceptance and publication, with appropriate acknowledgment of the journal as the original source and inclusion of complete citation details.

When sharing published versions, authors are encouraged to include the official article URL to ensure proper referencing and wider dissemination.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

To ensure long-term accessibility and preservation, JES archives its content through recognized digital preservation systems, including LOCKSS (via PKP Preservation Network), CLOCKSS, and RePEc. The journal maintains metadata in compliance with international standards, enabling indexing, discoverability, and protection against data loss.
